CCR welcomes discussions with landowners, mineral-interest holders and other parties concerning coal properties and resource opportunities. Location, the nature of the interest, available property information and the owner’s objectives help establish a starting point.

Surface ownership, mineral ownership and leasehold interests are distinct. The rights involved and a party’s authority to discuss them need to be understood for each opportunity.

Areas of interest include potential coal leases and royalty interests. Existing arrangements, the interest being discussed and the objectives of the parties shape whether a commercial path may exist.

CCR welcomes acquisition/divestiture discussions involving coal properties, mineral interests, and operating, idle or underutilized coal-related assets where appropriate. Preparation and transportation infrastructure may form part of a specific opportunity.

CCR actively seeks and evaluates Appalachian coal-property and resource opportunities and is being built to advance selected opportunities toward direct commercial participation. The property, the interests involved and the objectives of the parties shape the path from initial evaluation to a potential arrangement.

Where appropriate, participation may take the form of leases, royalty or mineral interests, acquisitions, development arrangements, joint ventures or other forms of direct resource participation, subject to evaluation and specific agreements.
